Manchester United target Romelu Lukaku is reportedly ready to leave Everton, but the Red Devils could face competition for his signature from Juventus, who are considering him as a replacement for Alvaro Morata.

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport (h/t the Daily Star’s James Walters), Lukaku, Christian Benteke and Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi are all being considered by the Bianconeri if Morata leaves this summer, and the Toffees striker has his “suitcases in hand.”

Further, United boss Jose Mourinho is “likely to be on red alert” about the Belgian’s situation, as he is among his reported targets.

It does seem the most likely scenario is a departure from the club this summer. After bagging 25 goals in all competitions for the Toffees in the recently concluded season, he’ll have no shortage of suitors, with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain also reported as interested by Walters.

However, the 23-year-old still has room for improvement—on too many occasions, misplaced passes or poor touches let him down. His failure to find the net in the final 10 games of the campaign will also be a concern.

Nevertheless, Lukaku remains an excellent prospect with an excellent future ahead of him in the game. Everton aren’t likely to let him leave cheaply, but he could make a strong signing for a side challenging for the title.Manchester United target Romelu Lukaku is reportedly ready to leave Everton, but the Red Devils could face competition for his signature from Juventus, who are considering him as a replacement for Alvaro Morata.
